Fifteen people were hurt when a protest against Israel’s West Bank security fence turned violent. Police fired tear gas to disperse protesters who had converged on the Palestinian village of A-Zawiya on Thursday to prevent construction of the fence nearby. Some witnesses said security forces used rubber bullets, a claim Israel denied.
