Some Muslim students at a California university commencement ceremony said they’ll wear sashes with the Arabic word for martyrdom. A spokeswoman at the University of California at Irvine said the school cannot prevent the students from wearing the sashes at Friday’s ceremony because it would limit their freedom of speech.
