Colin Powell urged the top Palestinian Authority peace negotiator to crack down on terrorism. Saeb Erekat met Wednesday with the U.S. secretary of state in Washington to present a plan for Palestinian elections within six months. Powell neither endorsed the plan nor rejected it, Erekat said.
