Hadassah members tried to call the White House en masse to protest President Bush’s policy on stem cell research. About 1,500 members of the women’s Zionist organization attempted to call the White House on Tuesday at the same time from the group’s convention in Phoenix, but many received busy signals or the calls did not go through. Hadassah is seeking expanded federal funding for stem cell research.
