Israelis and Americans work more than Europeans, but Israeli productivity is lower than that in most European countries. Both Israeli and American men work an average of 44 hours per week. Women in both countries work an average of 34 hours per week outside the home, according to research at Tel Aviv University cited in Ha’aretz.
