Sixty major Jewish groups endorsed a declaration calling for the abolishment of immigration restrictions tied to “exaggerated fears.” In a statement released Tuesday by the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society commemorating the 350th anniversary of American Jewry, the groups called for “thoughtful and serious discussion” of immigration and refugee-related issues within Jewish and national contexts.
