The World Jewish Congress called on the U.N. human rights commissioner to disavow comments on Israel made by several U.N. officials. The WJC said Louise Arbour should distance herself from the comments made the U.N. special rapporteurs, who said last week in Geneva that the United Nations “clearly cannot make itself a party to negotiations” for Middle East peace unless Israel abides by last year’s International Court of Justice opinion on Israel’s security fence.
