An exhibit on Jewish life in China opened in the city of Harbin. Jews came to the city starting at the end of the 19th century, and by the 1920s there were more than 20,000 Jews there, according to Xinhua, the Chinese news agency.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
