Muslim clerics unveiled a replica of an ancient pulpit destroyed when a deranged Australian set fire to Jerusalem’s holiest mosque in 1969. Clerics unveiling the wood and ivory replica at the Al-Aksa mosque on Feb. 1 said it heralded the “liberation” of Jerusalem. The original pulpit was believed to have been donated by Saladin, the medieval Muslim leader who ousted the crusaders.
