Israeli security forces arrested a suspect who planned to carry out a suicide bombing in Tel Aviv. Police and Shin Bet agents, acting on intelligence information, raided a home in the Tel Aviv suburb of Bat Yam on Tuesday, arresting one person. The detainee, reported to be a Palestinian from the West Bank city of Jenin, led police to a bomb belt that was ready for use in an attack. It was safely detonated. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the foiled attack.
