A Native American site in New Mexico will host a traveling exhibit on Anne Frank.”Anne Frank: A History for Today” will be displayed at the Bosque Redondo State Monument, which commemorates the Long Walk, when Navajos were forced from their homes by the U.S. Army. The exhibit will run from April 4-May 11. “The Anne Frank exhibit will help connect the tragic events at Fort Sumner to the larger context of human rights abuses that have taken place across the globe,” said Mary Ann Cortese, president of Friends of Bosque Redondo. The exhibit comes at a time when Jewish-Navajo relations are somewhat strained, despite a history of friendship in the American Southwest.
