Israel’s Arrow missile interceptor can shoot down the most sophisticated missiles in the Iranian arsenal, officials said. “Our Arrow operational system can without a doubt deal with all of the operational threats in the Middle East, particularly in Iran and Syria,” Arieh Herzog, the Defense Ministry’s top missile defense official, told The Jerusalem Post on Friday. In a separate Associated Press Interview, Yuval Steinitz, a senior member of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, said the Arrow can handle any ballistic missile “including any Iran is likely to purchase or develop in the next five years or so.” Israel developed the Arrow with U.S. cooperation. Its recent tests including one Monday have been successful.
