Most Israeli Jews prefer Orthodox wedding ceremonies, a survey found. According to Thursday’s poll commissioned by YnetNews, 80 percent of Jews in
Israel want weddings conducted by Orthodox rabbis. Twelve percent voiced
preference for Conservative or Reform ceremonies, although neither are recognized legally by the state, and the rest apparently are
undecided.

Asked the ideal marriage age, 58 percent of the 500 people polled said 25 to 30. Thirty
percent said “as soon as possible,” 6 percent said not before age 30 and
the remaining 6 percent expressed indifference to the idea of marriage.
