Hundreds of striking Israeli students scuffled with police in Jerusalem. About 800 students rallied in the capital Thursday as part of a month-old strike demanding higher state subsidies.The students staged a sit-in near Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s official residence, but some members of the crowd eventually burst through police barricades. Scuffles ensued and police arrested several protesters, witnesses said, but there were no immediate reports of casualties.
