Jordan’s King Abdullah II reportedly plans to deliver an address in Israel’s Parliament. Nabil Amr, an aide to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, told the Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper Monday that Abdullah plans to address the Knesset as part of his effort to promote a Saudi initiative for Arab-Israeli peace. Jordanian sources said the report was basically true but that Abdullah has yet to set a date to visit Jerusalem. Abdullah was expected for talks Sunday in Ramallah but canceled because of bad weather. He is scheduled to meet Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at a conference Tuesday in Petra.
