Israeli special forces killed two Palestinian gunmen during a raid into the Gaza Strip.
Tuesday’s fatalities were described as Hamas gunman who opened fire on the commandos during their incursion near Khan Younis in central Gaza. There were no Israeli casualties. Two other Palestinians were taken into Israeli custody.
Israel has stepped up pinpoint ground operations as part of its 2-week-old campaign against Hamas rocket fire from Gaza.
