Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinians during separate operations in the West Bank.

Troops patrolling Jenin on Sunday shot dead an Al-Aksa Brigades gunman who attacked them.

A day earlier, in nearby Nablus, an undercover Israeli unit exchanged fire with Palestinian gunmen. A man described by locals as a shopkeeper was killed in the crossfire.

There were no Israeli casualties in either incident.
