HIAS elects new chairman

The head of a Boston technology firm was named chairman of the board of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society.Michael Rukin, CEO of Concord Hill Group Trust, has served as board chairman of the Combined Jewish Philanthropies in Boston and led the effort to establish Hillel: the Foundation for Jewish Campus Life. “This organization means so much to so many people around the world,” Rukin said of HIAS in a statement. “In its 125-year history, it has resettled more than 4 million Jews, including my grandparents and father, to lands of safety.”
