A unique medieval Jewish prayerbook can be viewed online.The Nuremberg Mahzor was scanned and uploaded this week to the Internet site of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Jewish National Library at http://jnul.huji.ac.il/dl/mss-pr/mahzor-nuremberg/. The prayerbook, which was written in 1331, includes prayers and liturgical poems for the year according to the Ashkenazi tradition, as well as the five megillot, the haftarot and a comprehensive collection of commentaries written by scribes in the margins.
