A joint project of two Jewish educational institutions was awarded $1.9 million for a professional development program for Jewish educators.The Leadership Institute for Congregational School Principals, a partnership between the Jewish education departments of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, both in New York, received funding from UJA-Federation of New York for their second cohort of educational leaders.The institute offers congregational school educators the opportunity to expand their Judaic knowledge and strengthen their vision for school leadership.Educators selected for the program will participate in two 10-day summer seminars over two years, 11 shorter symposia and a 10-day Israel seminar.
