Israeli authorities plan to streamline the check-in process at Ben Gurion International Airport.

The Transportation Ministry announced Tuesday that by the summer, it intends to implement efficiency measures that would cut the average amount of time it takes to get from the airport’s entrance to the boarding gate from 78 minutes to 55 minutes.

While security screening and passport controls are generally performed in good time, the ministry said it would focus efforts on the ticketing desks, where the average wait is 43 minutes. The goal is to reduce that to just 15 minutes.
