Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life has promoted both Scott Brown and Aryeh Furst to the position of executive vice president.

Brown will be responsible for overseeing Hillel’s campus operations in North America, including human resource development, organizational learning, accreditation, Jewish education and student engagement.

Furst, who also will also serve as the organization’s chief operating officer, will supervise Hillel activities outside the United States as well as the organization’s fiscal and administrative operations.

Brown was the director of Hillel’s University of Maryland chapter from 1997-2003 and then worked in the national office’s human resources department. Furst has worked for the organization since 1993, serving under former president Richard Joel as the organization doubled its global budget to $89 million in 2007.

And here’s my daily plea: If you or your organization know of any staff changes, comings or goings, let me know at jberkman@jta.org.
