Israel has received information that Hezbollah could try to attack its citizens in West Africa.
The Lebanese militia is looking to strike Israelis in nations such as Ivory Coast, Israeli intelligence sources have confirmed.
According to reporst, Hezbollah, which vowed to avenge the Feb. 13 assassination of its terrorist mastermind Imad Mughniyeh, would seek to carry out a “small-scale” attack that wouldn’t draw too much attention.
West Africa has a large Lebanese expatriate community as well as a number of Israeli diplomats and contractors.
Israel denied involvement in the death of Mughniyeh in a Damascus car bombing, but since the assassination has stepped up security measures.
