Israeli police will visit the United States in their investigation into alleged improprieties by Ehud Olmert.

The police team, which will travel next week, will investigate the “double billing” component of the scandal that drove Olmert from office, Ha’aretz reported Friday. Olmert, Israel’s outgoing prime minister, is accused of charging the government for flights and hotel stays that private backers already had funded.
