JERUSALEM (JTA) — The last Israeli soldiers left the Gaza Strip and returned to Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces spokesman’s office announced that the last IDF troops left Gaza early Wednesday morning.
The forces are now redeployed outside of Gaza, according to the IDF, and "are prepared for any development."
The troops had been scheduled to be out of Gaza on Tuesday, but several shooting incidents delayed the withdrawal.
