WASHINGTON (JTA) — Pauline Krakowsky, a lifelong resident of Passaic, N.J., has died at the age of 105.

Krakowsky, who died July 23, had been an active member of the northern New Jersey city’s Jewish community, attending Temple Emanuel until it closed in 2005.

She had voted Republican since casting a ballot for Calvin Coolidge in 1924, but broke with tradition when she voted for Barack Obama last November.
