Daniel Treiman has begun his new job as JTA’s web editor. Previously, Treiman worked as the opinion editor of the Forward newspaper.
Aaron Cohen became vice president of communications at the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, leaving his position as editor of the federation’s newspaper, JUF News. Cohen’s successor is Cindy Sher, the paper’s managing editor.
Seth Cohen will join the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation to be its director of network development. Cohen is currently the president of Jewish Family & Career Services in Atlanta and a trustee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
Closings & Openings
Bar-Ilan University is launching a B.A. program taught entirely in English. The program in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences will combine economics, political science and sociology. Applications are now being accepted for the fall.
