Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the Kosher Sutra author and all-round personality, fundraises (with NORPAC and Michael Steinhardt) for Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), the House majority leader and Obama antagonist extraordinaire.
This is kosher.
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the ethicist and columnist for the suburban weeklies conglomerated under NorthJersey.com, doesn’t like President Obama. So much so that his dislike consumes a big chunk of Boteach’s Rosh Hashanah message:
His rhetoric is dead and he has lost his audience, because rather than unleash the power of American individualism he has become a detached, cold professor while reading from a teleprompter urging us to reembrace tried-and-failed policies.
This too is kosher.
What may not be so kosher, what may in fact require an ethical justification with twists and backbends most appropriately illustrated in a book with "Sutra" in its title, is not revealing the first activity while carrying out the second.
Relationships, Rabbi Shmuley, are all about communication. Time to reveal all.
