JERUSALEM (JTA) — More than 1,400 worshipers visited Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus in the West Bank.

The visit on the night of Nov. 23 was approved and coordinated with the Israeli military.

Minister of International Affairs Eli Yishai, one of several public figures who visited the Jewish holy site, said that "Joseph’s Tomb belongs to us. Of course we should resume full presence in Joseph’s Tomb. The current situation is a blunt violation of the Oslo Accords, and that must be fixed. "

During the visit, a Palestinian began throwing rocks at Israeli soldiers who were securing the worshipers. Security forces arrested the Palestinian. Some 13 Israelis attempting to enter the tomb illegally were arrested by the Israel Police.
