Sometimes, we need to report disturbing news. The latest regards the daughter of popular singer Billy Joel.
Alexa Ray Joel was a victim of alleged Minnesota stalker Sheryl Finley. Apparently, Finley sent Alexa more than “60 messages via Facebook, with some involving ‘pedophilia, sadistic-sexual behavior, violent physical assaults and murder,’” New York Post reports.
Alexa, a 27-year-old songwriter was “afraid to leave her Manhattan home.”
The threats pushed Billy Joel into action, and he immediately hired a bodyguard for his daughter. He also contacted his good friend Paul McCartney, who recommended a private security firm that will help investigate the matter.
According to court records, Finley, who spent a few months in a mental institution a few years ago, allegedly “threatened in the messages were not things she wanted to do “during this life,” and “remained hopeful that Alexa Ray would not “object to meeting with her.”
