Hollywood’s most hated celebrity is also the most beautiful wo
man in the world, which, when you think about it sort of makes sense.
People magazine gave Gwyneth Paltrow — the golden-haired descendant of rabbis — the title in this month’s issue. She graces the cover and inside talks about how at home she’s just a regular mom and wife, and not at all the polarizing figure everyone else on the planet alternately adores and despises. “Around the house, I’m in jeans and a T-shirt. I don’t really wear makeup. That’s what they’re used to,” Paltrow says of her kids Apple, 8, and Moses, 7. What about her husband, Chris Martin? “He’ll make a joke about it. If I’ve gotten fully dressed up, he’ll be like, ‘Oh, wow! You’re Gwyneth Paltrow!’ Because he’s used to seeing me in like baggy shorts and frizzy hair.”
At least the star of upcoming “Iron Man 3” doesn’t try to make it seem like looking good is effortless. Paltrow is a super healthy eater (as documented in her recent cookbook, “It’s All Good”) and she works out five days a week.
Congrats to Gwyneth on the award — and on how quickly this bad week has turned around for her.
And to the haters at the NY Post (see cover), you can mock Gwyneth’s diet all you want, but if it wasn’t just her Apple — but all of the Big Apple — heeding her example, New Yorkers might not be so big and fat.
