Your timely Editorial praising the work of the Foundation for Understanding (“Jewish-Muslim Bonds Deepening,” Nov. 15) detailing some of the foundation’s accomplishments and programs was most welcome.
I believe it is important for Jewish-Muslim relations that you brought to your readers information about the annual “Weekend of Twinning” and its exponential growth over the last five years. It was therefore rather puzzling that the name of the leader of this organization, Rabbi Marc Schneier, was not mentioned. Extolling an organization’s work but not the people who do that work is somewhat incomplete.
