JERUSALEM (JTA) — A Palestinian from the West Bank city of Nablus was arrested in the stabbing of a Jewish man near Tel Aviv.
A haredi Orthodox man from B’nei Brak was stabbed Sunday night under a highway overpass between B’nei Brak and Petah Tikvah in central Israel. Other haredim walking in the group said the attacker mumbled in Arabic before fleeing the scene.
The alleged attacker told police that he stabbed the Jewish man in retaliation for Israeli soldiers’ actions in the West Bank, The Jerusalem Post reported.
