WASHINGTON (JTA) — A donation of $20 million will allow a Washington Jewish school to add a middle school.

Alfred Moses and The Gottesman Fund will each give $10 million to the Jewish Primary Day School, it was announced Monday night at a ceremony with Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser. The school, which has 300 students, will now go to the eighth grade; the last grade now is sixth.

The Jewish Primary Day School is the only Jewish school in the district, though there are a number of Jewish schools in the Maryland and Virginia suburbs.
