(JTA) — Egyptian security forces uncovered an iron-lined tunnel under its border with Gaza.

The tunnel was over 650 feet long and had walls measuring 16 inches in thickness, according to Egyptian sources cited by the Palestinian Maan news agency, Israeli media reported.

Egypt has been destroying tunnels from Gaza in an effort to secure the border.
