‘Salvation’ A Concern

Any vitriol that Rev. Billy Graham may have uttered does not nearly compare to some of the hate-filled diatribes I have read today despising his message of salvation, not judgment (“How Should Jews Remember Rev. Billy Graham,” Opinion, Jewish Week online). Thank you for this fair remembrance of a man who wished only that all men could know the love of God without compulsion, as he did,

It is the salvation issue that most piques Jewish friends — the notion that salvation is only possible by the grace of Jesus. This was undeniably the center of Pastor Graham’s message. It might even be blasphemous to some. But as Pastor Graham matured, I am sure he realized some of these truths are meant only for those who have decided to follow “the way” and it is done without judgment on those who do not. Judgment on that magnitude is not the province of men.
