Meet Izhar Gafni, an Israeli man who came out with the sustainable idea of creating a bicycle out of recycled card board. Gafni told the Israeli site newsgeek that he came up with the idea while working in the States. Several engineers declined to take up his idea. But after watching a documentary on the assembling of a jumbo jet in the face of doubts, he was inspired to make his dream come true.

He says the bicycle, made of fully recycled cardboard, would cost between $9-$12 to make, and sell for $60-$90 retail — and should be strong enough to support a person weighing up to 300 lbs. Gafni is currently looking for investors for his project.
