Ten Soviet Jewish activists who were detained this weekend by Russian police were released yesterday, according to Jewish sources in the Soviet Union. The 10 included Viktor Polsky, a famous physicist and one of the leaders of the activists. Rumors persist, however, that another show trial is in the making Polsky still faces a charge of dangerous driving, stemming from an incident in which a 19-year-old woman was allegedly struck by his car and injured, Evidence, however, points to the fact that the woman was trying to commit suicide. The 10 Jews, all of whom have been denied exit visas to Israel, were held in a Moscow jail until they were released. The sources said that none were charged.
