The first mass observance of “Rambam Year” was marked today when more than 10,000 persons participated in a pilgrimage to the tomb of Rabbi Moses Ben Maimon, medieval Jewish philosopher-scientist, in Tiberias. Present at the tomb were Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog, members of the Cabinet, and of Parliament. The entire city of Tiberias was decked out for the event.
