With an appropriation of $100,000 from the Palestine Emergency Fund, reconstruction work on the Jewish colony of Artouf, which was destroyed during the disturbances of last Summer, has begun. A number of the former colonists have already returned and the others are expected to return shortly.
The Palestine Emergency Fund has not acceded to the requests of the settlers to enlarge the colony but a new police post will be established on the estate of J. L. Goldberg which is still unreconstructed.
