Declaring Canada needed 25,000,000 people to restore her prosperity, the influential weekly, Saturday Night, advocated in an article a Government loan of $10,000,000 to be used in facilitating admission and settlement of refugees. The article said the refugees appreciated a free country and their admission would be a blow against Nazi anti-Semitism and a victory for western civilization.
