Seattle’s Jewish youth went on record, by unanimous vote of twelve youth groups, to establish a conference of Jewish youth organizations.
The call for the organization of a united Jewish youth was sounded as the highlight of Seattle’s first annual celebration of national “Jewish Youth Day” at Temple Center. With more than 500 persons participating it marked the first project in the history of the Seattle Jewish community jointly sponsored by all youth groups.
William Staadecker, young leader of Temple League, announced that two representatives of the following organizations will meet to establish the youth conference: Aleph Zadik Aleph, Temple League, Herzl Junior Guild, Jewish Junior League, Junior Hadassah, Junior Council of Jewish Women, Junior Sephardic League, Habima Players, Alpha Epsilon Phi and Sigma Theta Pi sororities and Zeta Beta Tau.
