$12,000,000 Raised by the Central Relief Committee Conference is Told

$12,000,000 states the American Jewish Relief Fund, were raised by the Central Relief Committee, the Orthodox Jewish relief organization which was one of the three parental bodies of the American Joint Distribution Committee, according to the report of Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum, secretary of the organization, submitted to the conference which was concluded here yesterday.

During the ten years’activity of the Central Relief Committe, a sum amounting to not more than 3???% of the total sum collected, was expended for organization purposes.

Over one hundred fifty delegates from various ports of the country participated in the conference which took place under the chairmanship of Mr. Gada##ish Bublick, editor of The Jewish Daily News.

The conference was addressed by Rabbi A.J. Cook of Palestine, Rabbi Epstein of Keno and other speakers of prominence. Over $300,000 was recently raised in cash for a fund towards the maintainence of the Jewish Theological Yeshiboth and seminaries in Europe and in Palestine under the direction of the Rabbinical Delegation visiting this country for this purpose.

It was declared that another $400,000 is necessary to secure the existence of these acedemies. A committee of nine was elected by the conference for the purpose of devising ways and means of raising this fund.
