$150,000 Synagogue Dedicated in Israel; Built by U.S. Jewish Families

The $150,000 Anna Lazaroff Synagogue of the Lubavitcher Vocational Schools in Kfar Chabad, created with contributions from a number of American Jewish families, was dedicated today. The main sanctuary was donated by Mrs. Lazaroff’s children, Mrs. Emma Schaver, of Detroit; Alan and Isidore Lazaroff and Mrs. Tenenbaum, of Los Angeles; Aaron Lazaroff, of San Diego; and Morris Lazaroff, of St. Louis.

The auditorium was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Ferkauf, of New York, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Isidore and Rose Silverman. The library was donated by the Borman brothers, of Detroit. The Beth Hamidrash was provided by the Marantz family, of Los Angeles. The schools are maintained by the educational arm of the Hassidic movement, which has headquarters in New York City.
