A total of 17,887 Jewish children were enrolled in the Protestant schools of Greater Montreal, as of April 30, 1962, the Canadian Jewish Congress reported. The ratio of Jewish children in these schools was 27.6 percent. In 18 schools in the area, Jewish children comprised the majority of the total school enrollments–the Jewish student enrollment ranging in these schools from 91.6 percent to 51.1 percent.
