The seventeenth World Zionist Congress will definitely be convened in February as was intimated earlier in the week by Dr. Chaim Weizmann in his letter to Lord Passfield announcing his resignation as president of the Jewish Agency and of the World Zionist Organization, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned today from the World Zionist Executive here.
Neither the exact date nor the place of the Congress has yet been decided upon. The delegates to the Congress will be elected on the basis of shekel payers from the previous year together with new shekel payers, the Zionist Executive announces. A world-wide effort to obtain new shekel payers is being inaugurated immediately.
