2.5 Million Move to Israel Since ’48

Some 2.5 million immigrants have arrived in Israel since 1948, when the state was established, the Central Bureau of Statistics said this week.

Of the total figure, some 59 percent came from Europe, 19 percent from Africa, 15 percent from Asia and 7 percent from the Americas and Oceania.
