2 British Officers, American Jew Wounded by Arabs

Two British officers and an 18-year-old American Jew, Joel Reis, were wounded this morning during a sharp clash between Arab rebels and a military patrol near Ain Haramaya.

Reis is a bus driver living with his family at the American Jewish colony of Raanana for the past seven years.

The Arab band, estimated at fifty strong, suffered several casualties.

Moshe Mizrachi, 32, died at Hadassah hospital in Tel Aviv this morning of wounds accidentally inflicted by British soldiers near Rishon le Zion five weeks ago.

Bomb explosions caused damage to the District Commissioner’s office at Acre in northern Palestine.

The municipality of Kalkillia has been on strike since yesterday, with the result that residents have been without light and water.

High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope today visited the jetty at Tel Aviv, nucleus of the new port that is being developed by the all-Jewish city. He was accompanied by S. Hoofien, director of the Anglo-Palestine Bank, and others.
