2 Jewish Policemen Die of Wounds; Mounted Police Unit of 800 Formed

Two Jewish special policemen, Abraham Katz and Chaim Zippora, died today of wounds inflicted in may by Arab terrorists. Katz, a native of Lithuania, was long a resident of Johannesburg, South Africa, before coming to Palestine.

A British soldier was wounded last night by shots fired by an Arab near the Jaffa post office. The assailant escaped.

Laurence Harrington has been appointed commander of the new Rural Mounted Police, comprising 800 men. The unit was formed on recommendation of Sir Charles Tegart, police adviser to the Palestine administration.
