A Ukrainian named Harwalka was sentenced to death and another, Misak, to life imprisonment by a Lwow court today for the murder of a Jewish family named Friedman in the town of Janow, East Galicia.
The defendants pleaded that murdering Jews was no crime and that, to the contrary, was an act deserving of credit.
